Current flood conditions, story and photos by Marcia Armstrong, Siskiyou Co Supervisor District 5

At this time, there is still flood warning in effect at Scott River and Seiad. Hwy 96 is impassible with water over the roads. Power lines serving Seiad have fallen into the river. There are slides on several of the roads into Salmon River. (I think you can still get around through Cecilleville.) I believe Seiad, Somes Bar and some of the smaller Klamath River communities are now isolated. I believe that the route over Grayback from Happy Camp to Oregon has been cleared from snow and may be open. There are numerous road failures and slides. Very common to have small rivers running over roads. There were power outages to 4,000. still are outages in Fort Jones, Happy Camp and Seiad. There are shelters open at Happy Camp, Hornbrook and Gazelle

First two pictures is the bridge at Horse Creek. Next three are Scott
River at Quartz Valley bridge. Next is Iron Gate spilling water.
