Brown for commissioner

Letter to the editor/Herald and News 5/7/04

As a native of the Klamath Basin and resident for most of my 60-plus years, I'm urging you to vote for Bill Brown for Klamath County Commissioner, position 3.

I've known Brown for the past 30 years and know him to be a hard-working, dedicated individual who has always had the best interests of the county at heart. His dedication to the youth and the future of this county is shown by the last 28 years spent in education. He was born and raised here, so he knows the problems and issues inherent to the county.

During the 2001 water crisis, Brown was a tireless volunteer who spend hundreds of hours at the headgates helping the farmers and ranchers. He helped coordinate, from the headgates, the August convoys from seven Western states that brought food, money, feed and personal support for those most severely affected.

Brown has the education, experience, leadership, and background that's needed on the Board of Klamath County Commissioners for our future.
