Time to Take Action
Our Klamath Basin Water Crisis
Upholding rural Americans' rights to grow food,
own property, and caretake our wildlife and natural resources.

Here are some tips for writing an effective letter (or phone calling, or e-mailing):

1. Be sure to write to the right person (your representative, the right committee, etc.) and mail or fax it to the right address.

2. Let the person know who you are. Make it clear you are a constituent.

3. Make your letter brief and to the point and on one subject only. (I'd say, for the most part, one page.)

4. Keep it simple. Include the bill number and what it's about (such as: HB3000 banning agriculture burning) and how it will affect you or your business.

5. Be sure to say thanks.
