Rider language creates a moratorium on further issuance of suction dredge permits

7/23/08, Dave Mack, The New 49ers

Rider language creating a moratorium on further issuance of suction dredge permits in California is presently attached to the full California budget bill which will be voted upon by the California legislature sometime within the next few days or weeks.

Our response to this, so far, has not been as strong as it needs to be!

Our lobbyist is asking for you to immediately send a letter, fax or email to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, asking him to please veto this harmful Rider language. It is important to send in your message even if you don't live in California.

Here is a link to a sample letter which can be copied or modified to your liking:

Thank you very much for whatever you can do to help us out on this very important issue.
