 Letter from Ft. Jones

October 18, 2003

Howdy,

OK --- here is the latest on today's Ft Jones event ...

"We just received a phone call from a lady identifying herself with the
intended conference.  She seemed rather adamant that we were not invited to
the conference ......  She indicated that the conference was on
private property and we would not be invited under any circumstance. ....

..............Already, we've ...let these people know that we're unhappy with their agenda and  .... excluding those within our community with a "real" stake in the Klamath River Basin issue.

No one ... and we mean no one ... was aware of this conference within the
general community.  .....

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow and please come with your best
behavior and sense of community.

There will be a potluck dinner and community conference at 5:00PM at the
Greenview Grange for those who are visiting from out-of-town and for those
who would like to discuss "where we go from here."  This "conference" is
open to anyone who would like to attend.

See you there ..."

Mr L, Fort Jones
