A nice day on the river

What a beautiful  day on the Klamath. The sun was out early and the temperature hit the high 70 degrees mark and the fishing was pretty good .Again we started out in starwein and got our first fish. After moving up river we  struggled for a while then we moved again and got in to a nice bite we had 7 drifts in a row where we hooked fish. We ended up with 5 salmon 2 steelhead and 1 jack. We released all the salmon to go up river and spawn and kept the hatchery steelies for the barbeque. The  releases from the Trinity showed up today and the river is up about a foot or so and it also cooled off a few degrees I would think that this will help bring in a few more fish from the ocean. They are only doing this for 3 days and hopefully the fish will hole up for a while when the flows drop and we will have great fishing into October.  I still have September 16th available it a Friday and some openings in October , November we will be on the Trinity salmon and steelhead fishing from  my drift boat. Thanks Tim

Current Report:  Better fishing today

The day got off to a good start we hooked our first salmon in starwein and it was a good one. We worked our way up river getting a few fish at some different holes. We landed a few steelhead but had a hard time finding any jacks today. Every body had there limit of adults by noon. The winds have been picking up and making for some difficult fishing pretty early the last few days. Hopefully we will see some cooler weather to help keep the winds down. I had a cancellation for September 16 17 give me a call or e mail if your interested Thanks Tim King
