 July 22, 2005         -        COB update.

Update and Invitation

As we await the decision of the Oregon Supreme Court on the siting of the COB Energy Facility ... just received this interesting little tidbit:

"Here is the latest and greatest on the costs for the COB
Energy Facility app review... As of June 30, 2005, the costs incurred by the Oregon Department of Energy
for the application review phase of the COB Energy Facility is $663,205.82."

These are costs incurred by staff and other expenses to state of Oregon that are billed to COB just for
application process!

Klamath Fall's Centennial celebration is this weekend, July 23rd and 24th. We will have a fundraising booth at Veterans' Park. I hope all of you will stop by for a visit and support our efforts if you attend the festivities. We are having a raffle which is a great means of fundraising now that we have received our Section 501(c)(3) status from the IRS.

First prize is a $450 gift certificate from Big R. We also have a beautiful framed western art print donated to us ... the work of Lance Kent of Langell Valley ... the framing and matting donated to us by Craig Ricards... Diana Giordano has created many beautiful quilts. One of them will be a raffle prize. Others will be for sale as will many items of arts and crafts.

We are also having a silent auction with many items of Western art, antiques, quilts, collectibles ..... stop by and bid on your favorite items.

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
