More than a month ago the Klamath Falls Herald and News conducted an online poll on whether or not people thought Senator Doug Whitsett has done a good job. The poll vanished and we and our readers saw no results. Below are the results sent us by assistant editor Anna Backstrom and link to their website for a graph on Whitsett's popularity.

KBC NOTE: It was discovered right before the poll ended that online H&N readers could vote often, like every day, so the poll is very "unofficial."

"...Our poll on Sen. Whitsett was informal and not scientific, but the results were as follows:

Do you think state Sen. Doug Whitsett has done a good job during his first two terms?

Answered yes: 807
Answered no: 523
Answered not sure: 50

"Unfortunately, the Whitsett poll information will not be published in the newspaper. I can assure you this has nothing to do with the subject or results, we simply don't publish any poll results. The quick polls are meant to be a fast and interesting tidbit for readers to digest, and are unscientific. The poll is still on the website; if you would like to look at the results, here is the link: http://www.heraldandnews.com/poll_e982429c-e880-11e0-a22f-001cc4c03286.html#vmix_media_id=103574561 ...

We do usually publish our survey results, which are different from the more informal polls, are more in-depth and feature a bit more information on demographics, etc. ..."
