Time to Take Action
Our Klamath Basin Water Crisis
Upholding rural Americans' rights to grow food,
own property, and caretake our wildlife and natural resources.

While politics increasingly draws more attention in our media, and our churches, we would be wise as Christians to remember the importance the Apostle Paul placed on praying for all men, starting with those in authority over us.  With pressures and expectations coming from every direction upon those we elect to make decisions that will affect all our lives, we are exhorted to pray for them and rightly so.  If we wish to lead quiet, unencumbered, stable, godly, and peaceful lives, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, for our elected and unelected officials, is not an option.  It is a necessity.  It is right in the eyes of God, contributes to knowing truth, including the truth about Christ and what He has done for us all.

Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. I come before you in contrition and humility and confess that I have failed to pray for our leaders as I ought, and thus, ignore and violate your Word.  Convict me along with my brethren for our negligence and indifference to what Your servant implored us to do.  Teach us that our well being and the well being of our children, our neighbors, and our nation, depend upon our prayers and the humility to which they lead, in both us, and those for whom we pray, intercede on behalf of, and for whom we give thanks.  We implore You to speak to the hearts and minds of those who serve us.  Bring to their minds by whatever means You can the wisdom they need to make right decisions.  Protect them from the lies of the devil.  Reveal truth to them, and grant them courage to do what You have revealed to them is right and true.  Protect them from the deceptions of the evil one, and the temptations of the flesh.  Draw them to your self as they carry the burden of service. And may Thy people be a godly witness, respectful of their authority, honest, patient, and kind.  We pray this in Christ's Name, and for His sake.  Amen.
