An informational meeting was held in Oroville this evening
with local and regional elected officials and firefighters
California U.S. Congressman Doug LaMalfa complimented Cal
Fire and the many firefighters, law enforcement and volunteers
He said that within 24 hours, President Trump approved major
federal disaster assistance, and got FEMA headed this way.
LaMalfa alerted the audience to beware of scammers who flock to scenes of tragedies.
He said there is a major effort to rescue and temporarily house animals.
He praised President Trump for responding quickly to the needs of our communities.
LaMalfa ended with, "God bless you all; do hang in there."
