Vote 'no', put the sour grapes behind

Herald and News letter to the editor by David Oxley, Poe Valley 10/7/16

The majority KID board members are doing the best job possible under very difficult circumstances. Let’s remember all the board members were voted in by a vote of their patrons. They won the vote because of their views and beliefs on the best way to move KID forward.

Since last November when the current majority board was placed into office they have been working under strenuous conditions. This has made it very hard for the current KID board to get anything done.

First the “sour grapes minority patrons” tried mob rule at the public meetings. When this did not work, then they filed ethics charges against the majority board, which to date has found no wrongdoing. After that did not work they have now decided to try to recall the three majority board members.

The three chief petitioners have circulated prospective petitions around with false statements and lies. These are being investigated at this time. It should also be known that the three chief petitioners for the recall are the three ex-board members that were voted out of office in the recent elections.

So, from my view the current majority board is doing exactly what the patrons elected them to do. We did not like the direction the old board was taking us. Please vote no on the recall and let the KID board get back to the business of moving KID forward and put all this “sour grapes” controversy behind us.
